Lindt are a brand with many, many different offerings within their portfolio, not all of which make it over to us here in the UK. Thankfully ChocolateMission has several Chocolate-Agents (aka my readers) who continue to supply us with the latest and newest product offerings from around the globe. Today it is with great excitement I get to show you the NEW Lindt 'Hello My Name is ...' range - no that isn't a dodgy translation, that's really the name of the sub-brand.
I believe this new line-up was announced September 2012 - right about the time Franzi from Germany offered to send me some samples. The 'Hello My Name is ...' range consists of four different flavours - Nougat Crunch, Cookies & Cream, Strawberry Cheesecake and lastly Caramel Brownie. All these flavours are available in different sizes but it was the rather nifty looking 39.0g single stick bars that I got to try for the reviews today. In terms of packaging these were extremely well presented which is not surprising considering Lindt's usual standards. Each bar was wrapped in a thick foil packet which assured freshness and safe keeping of the chocolates inside.
All four flavours were milk chocolate offerings with different themed flavoured centres. It goes without saying that the milk chocolate coating each of these fillings was delicious. It was packed fully of sweet cocoa flavours and had that usual Lindt crisp, clean, creamy milkyness - YUM! Below are my brief thoughts on each flavour and my scores:
Lindt 'Hello My Name is ...Strawberry Cheesecake'
Kcal 551 Fat 35.0g Carbs 52.0g (per 100.0g)
This bar contained a 'vanilla cheesecake centre with strawberry fruit pieces'. What I liked about this chocolate was the way that the cream filling had a slight tangy, yoghurt sort of edge to it. I think if it had been straight up cream flavours, it could have quickly become overly sweet with the sugaryness of the strawberry fruit. Luckily this contrast nicely counter balanced that and made for a taste that was both progressive and variable. My only gripe with this was the bittyness of the dried fruit ruining the smooth melt texture.

Lindt 'Hello My Name is ...Nougat Crunch'
Kcal 552 Fat 35.0g Carbs 51.0g (per 100.0g)
This center filling comprised of 'nougat, hazelnut pieces and waffle pieces'. Before you get too excited by the word 'waffle' this was really no different to your average rice krispie piece - bland in flavour but crispy in texture. Though the 'waffle' element wasn't that enhancing taste wise, there was luckily a whole lot else on offer with both the nut and nougat pieces creating a very 'German' (thats a good thing!!) woody, hazelnut taste. The chocolate was still sweet, yet it had a nice savoury nutty edge to it. This flavour wasn't anything we haven't seen before from Lindt but it was tasty nonetheless.

Lindt 'Hello My Name is ...Cookies & Cream'
Kcal 565 Fat 37.0g Carbs 52..0g (per 100.0g)
This was where things got really interesting - 'cookie pieces and a cream filling'. This chocolate was one of those bars you couldn't put down! From the very first block that I tried I adored it. The centre cream was so smooth and the transition from outer chocolate to inner fill was seamlessly silky. The mouth feel was indeed excellent, but it was the depth of the cream flavours that made this a real stand out and the additional chocolatey hits from the cocoa nib like cookie pieces enhanced both taste and texture. This was one of those rare 'Cookies & Cream' chocolates that actually delivered the proposition.

Lindt 'Hello My Name is ...Caramel Brownie'
Kcal 549 Fat 35.0g Carbs 51.0g (per 100.0g)
I tried all these flavours in the order I've written the review and I thought the Cookies & Cream was going to be the outright winner until I tried the Caramel Brownie. This ladies and gentlemen was Lindt excellence (excuse the pun!). This absolute treat of a bar layered a caramel filling on top of a dense brownie base filling that had small particles of nut and cocoa nibs within it. The caramel delivered a much desired moistness and was exploding with buttery, toffee flavours that enhanced the rich cocoa laden layers below. This was chocolate caramel indulgence at it's finest and I savoured every block in the bar - stunning!
9.2 out of 10
Overall any range containing a flavour that has a bar scoring over 9.0 out of 10 is worthy of launching in my book so the Lindt 'Hello My Name is ....' has to be be considered a glowing success. The Lindt 'Hello My Name is ...Caramel Brownie' is a sensational chocolate. I may be perhaps biased in saying that given my love for caramel chocolates, though I find it likely anyone with a similar appreciation will say likewise. Lets not forget the other flavours - the 'Cookies & Cream' is definitely worth checking out, as are both the Strawberry Cheesecake and Nougat Crunch. Heck just try them all - they all carry a ChocolateMission recommendation that's for sure.
