Harry Potter? Hello Kitty? What on earth has become of the ChocolateMission!????
Don’t worry folks you haven’t stumbled your way on to the wrong site, and no we haven’t (quite) gone totally mad on all the chocolate we have been eating ☺ No, in actual fact we have quite the special post today, featuring two of the worlds biggest franchises. Thanks to our pals at @AmericanSoda, we today got the chance to try out the Harry Potter Chocolate Frog and a selection of Hello Kitty Treats. If you are tempted to try either of these today be sure to check our lovely site sponsors online store – AmericanSoda.

As self-confessed Harry Potter fans we were delighted to get a bunch of these Harry Potter Chocolate Frogs sent our way. These Chocolate Frogs are made by the Jelly Bean Company and each weigh a bite-size 15.0g. Suffice to say these aren’t a choice of snack suited for hunger fulfillment, but it’s really a given these are about a heck of a lot more than that! Each of the purple sparkly wrappered Frogs comes as described in the books with each packet containing its very own ‘Collectible Wizard Card’ – nice touch! Attention to detail there!!
As aforementioned the frog themselves are rather tiny and are basic milk chocolate with crisped rice innard offerings. Being totally honest the chocolate isn’t all that special and it reminded us of the pretty basic, kiddie friendly sweet milky chocolate that coats most of your mass market Mars and Nestle bars etc. Those looking for chocolate satisfaction and excellence will be disappointed, though those susceptible to the Potter franchise charm offensive (like us haha!!) will be more than happy with their purchase. Now … where’s our Butterbeer got to?

There isn’t one of us here at ChocolateMission who can really describe what the Hello Kitty franchise is all about, but from what we do know is that it is a worldwide brand with immense appeal in the Far East. Despite our lacking knowledge weren’t going to be turning down the chance of trying out these three variants of the Hello Kitty Treats range – Cookie Dough, Chocolate Brownie and Sprinkle Cupcake.
All three variants came packaged in their own colour coded Hello Kitty branded packaging. We couldn’t help but feel love for the cute little Kitten, but we weren’t going to be handing out points just for that – not many anyway ;-) If you are wondering how we are possibly going to review all three variants in the one review then let us reveal all. These Hello Kitty Treats are in fact made by the same folks who make Cookie Dough bites (Taste of Nature).

If we had to pick a winner between them all we would again stick with our original review and go for the more chocolatey Chocolate Brownie offering. They aren’t the most sophisticated of snacks ever, but they sure make very suitable cinema/film night in snacking options! The Hello Kitty branding just makes them even that more appealing!!!
Remember to head to AmericanSoda if we’ve tickled your fancy with these today!
