April 8th: Lindt Lindor Caramel

Kcal ??? Fat ??? Fat(sats) ??? Carbs ???

This time of year is always very busy with product launches though it has to be said the announcement of this one in particular really caught the attention of the ChocolateMission team. What got us so excited you ask!? Well it was this latest addition to the Lindt Lindor range - the Lindt Lindor Caramel. These will soon be available UK-wide, though we were generously offered the chance of a sneaky peak thanks to one of Lindt's PR agencies.

The Lindt Lindor Caramel will soon be available in their 200.0g 'Cornet' style boxes. Those lucky enough to live near a Lindt shop will also be able to try them as part of the in store pick-a-mix selections. One thing you may all want to note is that the colour of the boxes these come in is very similar to the colour currently used for the assorted Lint Lindor selection. Its fair to say that any unaware individual would likely not even notice these were now available - keep your eyes peeled folks!!

Given our love for nearly all Lindt Lindor truffles and the promise of a 'ultimate in chocolate indulgence' experience by the accompanying PR blurb we were incredibly excited to try these. Thankfully we are delighted to say that following our taste test we didn't feel let down despite our sky high expectations. As one would expect the milk chocolate outer coatings were incredibly tasty, with Lindt's extra creamy milk chocolate doing its usual phenomenal job of providing a delicious concoction of sweet cocoa and crisp dairy milk richness. The smooth melt of the chocolate was only superseded by the epically soft truffle centre that melted with the standard Lindor butter like dexterity. Upon commencement of this truffle filling melt our mouths were treated to strong buttery  sweet toffee flavour notes. Moreish doesn't even begin to describe these.

Overall the word delicious almost feels like we are underplaying how terrific we thought these tasted. We enjoyed these Lindt Lindor Caramel so much the only question we were left pondering was to why Lindt left it so long to make them!? Lindt have traditionally done chocolate and caramel combinations very well and these new Lindor certainly haven't persuaded us any differently. The synergy of the super creamy milk chocolate and fantastic caramel truffle centres is really something to behold and makes them as moreish as any of the other flavours currently in the Lindor range. It goes without saying we strongly recommend you give them a try,  just make sure you dont mistakenly dismiss them as the assorted selection with their similar presentation.
