Part 2 of our Lindt Hello Summer Collection reviews sees us tackle the three remaining flavours left to try in the range. If you for any reason missed out on our all important ChocolateMission scoring on Monday of the Berry Affiar and Coffee Blast flavours be sure to check out Part 1 - See HERE.
Lindt Hello Coconut Love
Kcal 572 Fat 38.0g Carbs 49.0g (per 100.0g)
With a lot of coconut lovers residing in the team we weren't short of volunteers to be trying out this 'coconut and pineapple filling in white chocolate' offering. Although painstaking to photograph the chocolate looked very appealing out of the packet with its fluffy white centre very well portioned against the thicker outer white chocolate shell. The taste panel of white chocolate lovers all gave this a massive thumbs up - describing it as a 'classic summer white chocolate' that had a 'beautiful fresh fruityness'. The combination of pineapple and coconut was described unique and well matched - the sweet sharpness of the pineapple a great partner for the creamy nuttyness and vanilla noted white chocolate shell. This Coconut Love variant was the favourite of the majority of the panel.

Lindt Hello Lime Splash
Kcal 545 Fat 33.0g Carbs 47.0g (per 100.0g)
Lime and white chocolate aren't a pairing we see often paired together in the UK chocolate market so the combination was the first that many had tried on the ChocolateMission team. Unlike the previous three variants we have reviewed so far from this new Lindt range this was a purely solid chocolate with no softer or texturally different inner centre. The upside of this was that each block lasted longer in the mouth, the downside of course being the lack of excitement mouthfeel wise. When it came to the test there was split opinion amongst the panel. Some thought the citrus flavours of the lime worked well against the sweet white chocolate, however others thought it clased with the milkyness and curdleld the sweet taste negatively. Split opinions have to mean we score this one lower than others we tried.
7.3 out of 10
Lindt Hello Strawberry Kick
Kcal 551 Fat 34.0g Carbs 51.0g (per 100.0g)
Last but by no means least the Strawberry Kick flavour was the last we got around to trying. This was probably the last to opened as it offered a similar experience to many of the chocolates we have reviewed on the site previously - 'a strawberry Panna-cotta filling wrapped in white chocolate'. Again this was a solid chocolate bar that held small pieces of dried fruit placed in the middle. Like with the Berry Affair these dried fruit pieces were on the large side and didn't upset the texture for some who said they would have preferred a smoother melting, less gritty offering. Whilst there were some negative remarks in regards to the mouth feel there were no issues with the taste with the majority of the panel giving a thumbs up to the tarty red fruit strawberry flavours that were a nice foil for the sweet vanilla noted white chocolate. The sweetness of the whole bar at once was a little much for some, though others felt more than happy consuming in the single sitting.
7.8 out of 10
Overall the team thought a lot of this Summer Edition range and whilst there was a general conclusion that the flavours were on the 'safe-side' of the summer flavour spectrum there were very positive remarks on offer for the Coconut Love, Coffee Blast and Berry Affair offerings. Whilst we appreciate you may still be coming to grips with the launch of the original Lindt Hello 'My name is ...' (See HERE) we think it would be well worth you checking out any of the flavours that have caught your eye in our reviews. Remember you can buy these right now at the Lindt Online Store - be sure to let us know which of the flavours you end up trying @ChocMission.
