For reasons that will soon become apparent we wont waste too much of your time with our review here today. We have long been advocates of Kellogg's Rice Krispie Squares (Reviews See HERE) and they often feature in many of the ChocolateMission teams' weekly shopping baskets. They may not be the most grandioso of snacks but to a lot of us they are just about the right amount in terms of small, sweet snack.

Kellogg's have produced a few limited edition flavours recently - the ones that spring to mind immediatedly being the Mint (see HERE) and Honeycomb Crunch (see HERE) etc. Although these flavours may not have always been received as warmly as some of the original varieties, Kellogg's have always maintained a certain quality level and never had them come across as cheap limited edition offerings.

Well that was until we tried these new Cookie Crunch flavoured Rice Krispie Squares today. These were just bad, no two ways about it, just bad. On the face of things they sounded like they had a good deal of promise - 'toasted rice with cocoa biscuits and a chocolate coating'. Unfortunately in reality these were just rather pants and we thought this might be the case as soon as we got them out their wrappers.

What was immediately obvious was that the 'Cookie Crunch' content was going to be rather limited. As you can see from the pictures the cocoa biscuits pieces were sparse to say the least. Even the pieces that were on top of the cereal base did little to create any impact flavour wise. The result of this was just that the taste was dominated by a very sugary, poor quality chocolate that combined with the syrupy gloop binding the cereal was just too much sweetness.

Overall our concluding paragraph needn't be long today! None of the team liked these - our advice would be to avoid them at all costs and stick to the original flavours in the range which are far superior.
