As we informed you all last week due to high demand we are going to be increasing the amount of chocolate cereals we have here on @ChocMission. The all time classic Nestle Coco Shreddies came under the ChocolateMission rating system last week - See HERE if you missed out. As they were more of a classic cereal option we thought this week we should get the team trying out a newer chocolate cereal option, the Kellogg's All-Bran Choco Wheats.

To conduct the reviews a few of bought 450.0g packs from Tesco, handily they were on a half price deal so we only had to pay a rather cheap sounding £1.14 for them. On the face of things they sounded like a healthier chocolate cereal option if there is ever such a thing - ' High fibre, with wholegrain and natural wheat bran fibre' ... oh and chocolate of course :)

The packaging and presentation was all what you would expect from Kellogg's, on-pack imagery was very realistic and the wheat pieces looked well sized and nice in colour. Aroma wise they had emanated nice chocolate biscuit like scents which was a promising sign of things to come. Mixed with cold milk the mini wheat pieces soaked up a decent amount of liquid yet retained a satisfying crunch to them without coming overly soggy. They tasted very much like mini shredded wheat with a touch of sweetened cocoa powder. They were just about sweet and chocolatey enough to satisfying a sweet tooth craving, yet weren't overly sweet or sickly if eaten in a large quantity. A standard sized bowl was more than big enough to be a hearty breakfast and tied us all over deep until the mornings.

Overall the team liked these Kellogg's All-Bran Choco Wheats and would promote them as a good, healthier chocolate cereal option. They probably aren't going to satisfy those of you wanting a mega chocolate hit early in the morning, but for those who just want more of a mild chocolate influence to your cereal then these will more than suffice. The chocolate milk the cereal 'produces' is of a standard without being the best. We are sure our chocolate cereal journey is going to have us taste better cereal than this but this is still a fair option to try.
