As we mentioned a little while ago @AmericanSoda have recently stocked up on some of the latest Oreo flavours doing the rounds in the US at present. Here in the UK Oreos only come in a few flavours, the most common being the Oreo Originals and Oreo Double Stuff. Well in the US things are a little a different. Their Oreos aren't just more varied in terms of their flavours, no our pals over the Atlantic aren't even content with their Oreos being Double Stuffed - they have Triple Double Oreos!

We got the chance to review these Oreo Triple Double Neapolitan this week after our pals AmericanSoda sent us 371.0g pack. This contained about 18 or so cookies that the team ate throughout the course of two days. As a snack we all agreed that two was a decent amount - that might not sound much but we will come on to that more in a bit. Commenting on the look and presentation of the cookies and packaging the team thought they both looked awesome. You can see for yourself just how cool the cookies looked with their colourful layering. What was also notable was the nifty resealable flap on the packet which ensured the contents was kept fresh once opened.

At the risk of patronising you guys we better mention the proposition on offer with these Oreo Triple Double Neapolitan - 'vanilla sandwich cookies filled with strawberry and chocolate flavoured creme'. To a man the team loved picking apart each of these layers trying all different combinations eating the cremes together, the cookie pieces on their own, one at a time etc. Having pulled them apart the team came to the conclusion that the chocolate creme layer was far superior to the strawberry. Whilst the darker coloured cream added sweet, sugary cocoa flavours the strawberry creme substantiated more of a fake tasting fruity taste. It was by no means offensive but the chocolate creme was by far the superior.

Overall credit where credit is due these Oreo Triple Double Neapolitan far exceed being a gimmicky ice cream flavour and do manage to pull off the flavour theme rather convincingly. We we mentioned the team aren't all that keen on seeing Oreo with just strawberry creme anytime soon but when it's paired with these vanilla cookie and chocolate creme layers it is a far more appealing. These look cool, taste good and have a novelty factor that extends beyond their funny name. Yet another Oreo flavour worth a try if you fancy them.
