The Christmas 2014 reviews have been coming thick and fast and there is only one day left to go before the big day! It was only when writing up the post and adding the 'tags' we realised that we've now been doing this for over 7 years! Yes 2014 will be the seventh Christmas in which we've been filling you all in with what looks good for gifting and treating - nuts huh!?

As you will have ascertained the Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Mousse Snowman is getting things started for us this year. This Chocolate Mousse Snowman is a 30.0g single piece chocolate variation of last years incarnation. The 2014 Chocolate Mousse Snowman sees aways with the previous white chocolate filling and is billed as 'a milk chocolate with a soft milk chocolate flavoured mousse filling'. Those of you unhappy at this news should rest assured that the white chocolate version is also still available.

Apart from the innards of the snowman the product looked no different to last years with the rather scary looking faceless snowman man shape a nice size for consumption in two. Biting into the chocolate the thick outer chocolate yielded with a nice crisp crack, whilst the soft mousse filling made for a nice differential textural feel. The taste was in line with expectations - sweet, creamy milk chocolate that tasted little different from outer chocolate to inner mousse. The lack of difference in flavours was perhaps a little lacklustre though no one on the taste test panel was complaining that much.

Overall whilst this wont be the finest product we are going to try this year for Christmas it's still one that we feel comfortable recommending given it's low price point and funny kiddie nature. Cadbury never come out with anything to elaborate for the Christmas period and tend to keep it pretty simple when it comes to their range. This simple Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Mousse Snowman goes to prove not everything has to be overly complicated. Let us know which you prefer out of this Chocolate version and the White Chocolate version over at @ChocMission.
