Before you read this review today take a look at the @ChocMission leaderboard and you will see that the original Galaxy Caramel bar is one of our all time faves. Indeed the Galaxy Caramel is one of the few mass market bars that we frequently buy in our office. That alongside the Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramel has always divided opinion amongst our team in regards to which is most superior. Today the argument took a whole new twist with the launch of this all new Galaxy Caramel Collection Salted Caramel bar - we couldn't wait to try it.
You should be able to find this Limited Edition bar on sale in most UK supermarkets by the time you read our review. It's likely you will find it on an introductory £1.00 deal just as we did. This small expense should buy you a 135.0g bar, a great £/kg equation compared to some of the other mass market chocolates you will find. Spotting it on the shelf should be no problem whatsoever with the lovely shade of turquoise giving it a high visibility factor among the other Galaxy variants.
Overall Mars aren't exactly the most active chocolate producer when it comes to releasing limited editions but boy was this Galaxy Caramel Collection Salted Caramel a good one. As fans of the original Galaxy Caramel it was unlikely we were ever not going to enjoy this one. Comparing the two the differentiation in the overall product was so slight we all declined to sate a preference, hence the same score awarded to this bar and the original. If you are a Galaxy fan you need to get involved with this salted caramel version right away. Let us know what you think @ChocMission.
