It's April already!? Surely not! We are already a quarter of the way through the year folks and with Easter coming up this week you will want to be keeping tabs on @ChocMission to see our Easter Chocolate competition! With so many chocolate eggs around the office already you may have thought we wouldn't have time for chocolate biscuits at the moment. Well that isn't such the case as this week we've been tucking into these NEW Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Caramel biscuits.
We found these on sale in our local Tesco store where they were priced on an introductory £1.00 offer. This bought us a pack weighing 135.0g which was 9 biscuits. To be honest we were mega lucky to have even found these on the shelf. Had it not been for our beady eyes constantly checking for new chocolate biscuit products I doubt we would ever have known they were new out. Between all three of us we had never seen any announcement of them coming to market or saw any in store promotion indicating they were new.
Overall these were a big disappointment for us here @ChocMission. These Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Caramel biscuits had all the making for being utterly superb. Unfortunately we got nothing of the sort. We essentially got original Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Caramel biscuits with a wafer thin layer of almost non-existent caramel. The word 'letdown' doesn't really begin to describe our feelings here. Yes they still had the charm of the milk chocolate originals but when you are promised something else you can't help but be left feeling disappointed with your purchase.
