April 24th: Grenada Chocolate Fest Events pt. 2

Today we are going to be telling you all about the last of the daily activities that are scheduled for the end of the festival. Visitors are going to be able to get their hands dirty cocoa farming, dancing to the beat of the local drums and finally closing with a special celebration on the family fun day. Wednesday 13th “Meet the Farmers”
Sip plantation-style cocoa tea whilst munching on delicious cake at Crayfish Bay Organic Farm and learn about the history of cocoa in Grenada. Remote and idyllic, the secrets of making small batch chocolate will be shared with you by owners Kim and Yvonne. Still hungry? Lunch is served on the verandah at Petite Anse Restaurant with heart stopping views of the Grenadine islands: Transport from True Blue, tour and lunch US$119 per person, kids US$95

Thursday 14th “Learning about the Past and Looking at the Future”
If history is your thing then Grenada's beautiful historic sites will fill you with joy! Join an island tour or look to the future by visiting Vendom RC School or Mount Zion community library and donating a book: Tour of island from True Blue: half day US$72, full day US$108 per person minimum 2 adults US$50 (children) 

Friday 15th “Let’s Get to Work”
Be a farmer for a day at Crayfish Bay Organic Farm. Join the team, learn how to pick cocoa pods, harvest the beans and get them ready to be processed: Transport from True Blue Bay + work experience + Farmer’s lunch US$54 (adults only). Or deign your own chocolate bar on a tour of Diamond Estate Chocolate Factory: Transport from True Blue Bay + lunch US$78 (adults) US$54

“Sunset Bonfire and Chocolate Cook Up” Location to be announced Sample small chocolate dishes prepared by the best island chefs, dance to the beats of local drumming around the bonfire sipping aromatic local rums and exotic tropical cocktails.
Transport from True Blue to venue US$10 per person, kids US$5. Food and drinks for sale.

Saturday 16th “Arts and Crafts Bazaar and Fashion Show” At True Blue Bay Resort treat yourself to a day of shopping and fashion at this colourful event. Crafts, art, jewellery, chocolate creations and Grenada inspired fashion with vibrant batiks and soft tropical fabrics.
Free entrance to all, drinks and food for sale

Sunday 17th Fun Family Day at Belmont Estate and Closing of Fest
At Belmont kids' activities, visit the museum, the goats and the verdant gardens. Tuck in to a scrumptious lunch on the verandah overlooking the estate. Indulge your senses with little treasures to remind you of Grenada, the island of cocoa and spice: Transport from True Blue Bay + Lunch US$78 (adults) US$54 (children)

"Chocolate Restaurant Pop-up extravaganza and Auction Finale"
The big event! Outstanding Grenadian chefs "cook up a storm" of chocolate, 'Pop-up' style restaurant style food followed by finale of the silent auction. Part of the proceeds will go to build and buy computers for Vendome RC School. Free entrance, food/drink on sale.
