A few week ago you might remember we brought you our first review from this McVitie's Deli Choc range reviewing their Milk Chocolate variant (See HERE). Well if you did read that review you will be well aware that they didn't go down particularly well with the team. Well after a little deliberation the team decided to give the range another try with the other flavour in the range the McVitie's Deli Choc Dark Chocolate.
We found these again on sale in our local Tesco store. One of the reasons we decided to give these guys another try was admittedly because they were so damn cheap. On an introductory half price offer these cost us just £0.84 - a steal considering their 150.0g size and 12 biscuits portioning. Looking at the packaging and presentation we were filled with a huge sense of Deja-Vu. We didn't expect much but comparing it to the previous milk chocolate pack we could hardly notice any difference - McVitie's have hardly made it easy for consumers to spot the difference between the two.
Overall McVitie's had a far better showing here with these McVitie's Deli Choc Dark Chocolate. Comparing them to the likes of Lebniz biscuits or the posher varieties you can buy we would consider these a worthwhile alternative - trust us that's a high recommendation given the chocolate biscuit nuts in our @ChocMission team! They definitely aren't the king of the chocolate biscuits that's for sure, however if you are after a cheap chocolate biscuit thrill these Deli Dark Chocolate are certainly worth a look at.
