The football was good wasn't it. As you can imagine I enjoyed it immensely.

It was shame the chocolates looked a bit scuffed but hey like you say it didn't hamper the taste.

I swear you say this everytime I review a Hotel Chocolat product. Price is taken into account for every part of the scoring matrix ... i.e. the score out of ten is done with the perspective how nice it tastes bearing in mind the price.

Chilli and chocolate became hugely popular in 2009 didn't it! It was definitely the flavour of the market for the year.

I guess it is just down to personal preference ... you prefer the more standard flavours we have on our market, whilst others like a bit of chilli thrown in to the mix. I don't think anyone thinks they are superior just because they like a bit of spice in their chocolate.

Haha they are lucky aren't they! Infact I think they get the best end of the deal here ... they get to try pretty much all the chocolate I do but don't have to write the reviews :D ahh well they I shan't complain there is always so much to share around. I am glad you at least like the fact I get the reviews up early.

Spicy Sweethearts is very good ... it has a nice ring to it.

As I really like spicy food I don't tend to mind the stronger ones though I know what you mean it is nicer when it is more subtle and just brings a warmth to the texture.

You're right Jim, the name isn't the best is it! I think something like 'Spicy sweethearts' would be more appropriate.
These sound nice although I must say I'm a bit funny with chilli flavoured chocolate. Sometimes I like it sometimes I can't stand it. I prefer it if it's very weak and barely detectable, just so it provides a subtle spicy kick.

Great review. Yours is one lucky family lol! How about 'spicy love nibbles'? I prefer holiday reviews a few weeks in advance like these because what with the ordering time it's nice to have some extra time to make up your mind about what looks best to get.

Gahhh, what's the obession with chilli and chocolate? Seriously, it's becoming more and more mainstream and everyone's getting in on the act. IT'S NOT THAT GOOD. I think people just like to think they have superior tastes and that liking chilli chocolate makes them just a little bit more refined than the ovbiously scummy folk who enjoy a good Double Decker.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for new exciting flavour combinations and I wish companies like Nestle and Cadbury (or should I be calling them Kraft now?) would be more adventurous and bring out some ACTUALLY NEW products rather than just add to existing lines. But I really don't see what is good about this combo. I've tried it many times, and I always end up thinking, yeah it's quite nice, but it would have been nicer without the chilli.
