Wow. I don't think I've ever tried Montezuma's, or lime chocolate, before. This was amazing and one of the rare times I think it deserves higher CM score. I only wish they hadn't mixed the chili in and done two separate flavors, to let the lime truly rule.

Well, chilli in chocolate is getting more and more popular. In Real Food Festival, I DO CHOCOLAT had Szechuan pepper & chilli tasted very unique and good combination.

I can't agree more. I personally think it just shows a complete lack of effort not branding their chocolate. It looks very boring indeed.

The lime comes through quite strongly so I think it is best you avoid this one then.

For a company that prides itself on its chocolate I have to say most of their recipes aren't that great. There best by a long way is there 50% recipe.

That is correct the chilli is more an after thought whilst the lime comes through strongly straight away. At least they bothered to change up the box a little in terms of design! I actually think it looks pretty sharp.

The lack of branding is a terrible mistake ... maybe someone from Montezuma's can explain to us why they don't do it.

If they practice such good ethics why do they wrap the chocolate in transparent cellophane? Why do they even box it at all?

Sorry but the first thing people always e-mail me about is where I get things so I tend to just stick it somewhere in each review to save me having to reply.

There is nothing wrong with preferring more mainstream tastes ... they are mainstream for a reason after all!

I think you might be surprised by this one. like I said to Alan the chilli is more of an afterthought and not all the present in the grand scheme of the taste. The lime dominates it for the main part.

Sounds good to me but I doubt it would ever happen. The combination is way too niche and not something your average person would go for.

I think you will all find that Montezumas practice a minimal is best philosophy when it comes to their packaging.

They are practice good ethics when it comes to their impact their company makes on the environment. I wish other leading manufacturers would take them as an example.
