Ahhh I didn't know this. Thanks for sharing that! Given the amount of chocolate I review from there I should probably start learning German :D I never realised it stretched as far back as 1980.

Ritter bars pop up in the oddest places don't they. I often find that is the more obscure newsagents that have the best ranges. It is where I remember buying a load of the ones I reviewed last year.

Who knows what the future may bring! In a world where Cadbury can get bought out by Kraft I wouldn't discount Ritter up-weighting their presence abroad.

As I said to Alan Ritter Sport chocolates seem to turn up in the oddest of places.

Yogurt and chocolate is something that doesn't sound like it should work but it really does. Milka are also very good at it like you say. It must be something in the yogurt in Germany.

Indeed like I have said to some of the people above I wouldn't be surprised if Ritter did increase distribution here in the UK.

It took me a while didn't it but at least I finally got there.

I guess since I didn't have anything to compare this to I didn't know any better. It is a shame that you didn't think it was good as it used to be but at least it came back at all I guess. I really liked the nuts and the crunchy bits in there. I thought they added some nice variable textures.

Wooohooo, finally the Olympia Review :D
To be honest I was disappointed when I first had it after the relaunch. It's different from what I remember, and other people agree with me. It used to be honey flavoured, without the crunchy bits (which I find a tad annoying) and with more nuts. Still, I'm glad people kept asking for it and Ritter Sport brought it back.

I haven't ever seen the normal yoghurt Ritter in England let alone this Olympia flavour. One day eh!?

I always associate Ritter with the small John Menzies stores that used to be in train stations.

I have to say to my surprise, that yogurt filling and chocolate does go well together. I remember the yogurty filled Milka truffles I once had were lovely.

I'm sure I remember seeing alot of Ritter bars years and years ago as a kid in those tobacconists shops when my garndfather used to go in (along with Cadburys Old Jamaica etc)I always associate the Ritter brand name with that lol

Oh sweet jebus! I have not sufficient breadth of lexicon to convey how amazing that sounds. I shall just sit here salivating and pondering its wonderment.
My dear dear chum managed to get hold of a load of ritter bars for my xmas pres and one was the plain yoghurt. I absolutely loved it! Yoghurt+chocolate though, how awesome? I thought it would be repulsive but I now understand its genius. Can only imagine how goooood this bar is!

I need to calm down actually. Gushing overload!
